The study of the Word of God (the Bible) is central to all we do here in Belize, as in it we find the gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. However, this is not to imply that all we do is study the facts of the texts. Although we do study the text, we believe that being a disciple of Jesus Christ involves not only the hearing of the Word but also the doing of the Word. We believe in “training in ministry, not just for ministry.” That is to say, we are actively involved in local churches and community outreaches now while we prepare for the future. Waiting to become involved after one has finished his or her studies is inconsistent with Scripture. We study to show ourselves approved of God as we teach and preach the gospel, whether in a pulpit or in the community as we build homes for widows, orphans or the impoverished.
